Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation | Natural Marble

Hello everyone,

Today's review is all about Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation. Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation is my very first foundation in my life which I have used during school-college annual function. In fact every Indian woman must have used this at one point of time. So lets see how it performs on my skin.

Price of Product: Rs 140/-
Availability: Buy it here
Shelf life: 30 months

Product Description: Lakme is indian cosmetic brand which offers variety of cosmetics since many years now. Its the only brand which was there when not many other brands were available in India so very less options was there to choose. Recently I got this again after reading bloggers reviews on it to give it a try again.

Ingredients: Full ingredients list is not mentioned. It says it has vitamin E

My Experience: It comes in very old, vintage type of glass bottle which is rectangular in shade.
It comes in 4 shades- Pearl, Coral, Shell, Marble.
I got the shade Marble which says for medium to fair skin tone. All the four shades will suit almost wide indian skintone but all of them have strong yellow undertone to it. Considering the brand is from India they could have launched more shades of brown too cause these are not going to suit for darker tones beauties.

It says-
Blends easily into your skin to create a soft glowing and feather like finish.
A water-resistant, oil-free formula with Vitamin E that provides superior coverage.
Contains Vitamin E that soothes and moisturizes the skin.
Silicones help in easy application, spreading evenly for an even toned look.
The texture is liquidy and watery so it blends easily without leaving any patches or uneven application. It gives a matte look after 5-10 minutes of application so dry skin beauties must required moisturizer before applying this for even and smooth application.
The shade natural Marble suits my skin tone perfectly. But if you get wrong shade or your skintone is not matching with this available shades it will definitely going to give you that ugly white cast(horrible). Also it will not going to look good in photographs. It says it has oil free formula but it doesnt control oil secretion and face will become oily after 2-3 hours even if you set it with compact or any other face powder. Face starts sweating after 2 hours and becomes oily so not a good wear time.

About coverage I cant say anything because I don't have any blemishes on my face as such but looking at its thin watery texture I don't think it will give you any coverage in terms of dark circles, acne, blemishes. But it gives you even tone look and cover slight discolouration on face also its really light weighted. Lastly it claims that its water ressistant but it is not. After application in hotter environment it comes off with sweating and if you splash water on it it goes off easily. So basically it can be used for dailywear where you don't need any coverage and want to wear it for 2-3 hours then it is good light weighted foundation. Here's below I am wearing it on a day time.

Pro's:
* Light weighted and good for dailywear
* Blends in the skin within seconds without    leaving patches
* Gives even tone look
* Smoother look gives nice glow which is perfect  for everyday
* Its very cheap so you can try it for daily use.

Con's:
* Its not waterproof or water-resistant
* Staying power not good
* it says oil free formula but it doesnt control oil secretion and face becomes oily.

Overall Verdict: Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation is basic dailywear foundation which is good to give you that everyone and nice glow.
